I liked the coffee very much.
The swan was delicious. Recommended without reservation!
Good coffee. The cake was not bad either;)
Very tasty 😋
A beautiful place to rest
Fast pastries and tea for a rest. Great view of lake and mountains.
The lady with curved blonde hair was incredibly unfriendly! Not recommended at all! If there is an option I will give a minus 5 star for sure.
Great cafe and bistro. The goulash soup was quite cheap and delicious and the apple strudel with vanilla sauce and cream was also very good. The view directly from the bistro is also great. Right next door is the terrace. The staff was also friendly though he had to do it all by himself.
The cashier is a rude guy. He is very impolite. The food is acceptable. You can just go to the balcony to see the spectacular view.
Fine view, obviously overpriced. Yet, it is nice to sit down and relax after the tour.
A unique experience to be able to enjoy a break drinking a coffee or tasting some specialty European center precisely in the castle of Neuschwanstein. The attention is very good but in my case there is everything, I did not find the apple strudel especially delicious, served as always with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. The best is still the place.
I visited this place with my wife and daughter. The location is very nice but the food isn't. The flavors we tasted were at best mediocre and more importantly all 3 of us suffered food poisoning.
Service could be better. Order cold apple strudel and get hot.
High prices, bad service and worst of all: Cash only.
So glad they have this cafe in the castle. After walking up the hill and touring the castle , I was famished and us Americans LOVE to eat. Great food and perfect location.
way too expensive, and the seats are screwed to the floor, so you can't even enjoy the view
I did not expect the stars because the reviews were not good. Except for a rather expensive tourist spot. It's closer to a cafeteria that brings food to your self and counts on it later. Just let me warm up in the winter and stop the hunger only if it is the purpose. I did not expect it at all, but surprisingly the pretzels were much better. Sewing moderately moderately hard.
Very poor service and overpriced, discriminate asian
The tastiest quark balls ever eaten
Need to grab seats and dishes. The beef soup is good, especially the soup of the soup is the traditional lion's head soup cup. My family also has several big ones.
Bad cake, if possible, not to eat! Cafe is worse than fast food. Pizza is no good, either.
Really the worst cafe I know. One star is only for the view. So it is clear that there is not fresh home-baked cakes and food in such a crowded place, but what you get here is really bad. At the best coffee time at 14:30 to 15:00 almost empty. No wonder. Excessive prices, watery, very cold apple pie and only the cheapest finished products. So the frozen cake is now in much better quality. That's really sad that you get served in such a nice place so. Lactose-free milk also no indication. Only the tip of the cashier that I should tell her boss, (That was not there) who wants no extra milk. The next time just 200 meters further, outside the castle, in the economy, because you get everything very well.
After the end, remember to take a photo on the balcony next to the castle café, where you can see the idyllic scenery of the German Alps and the best place to shoot Alpsee with Hohenschwangau.
We were pleasantly surprised. The piece of cake for 2.90 € is not cheap, but also corresponds to the price level in the very normal cafes German cities and is therefore not overpriced. He also tasted good. The atmosphere and decor disappointed. Neither in the rustic style of the castle nor particularly modern seems to be set up a little carelessly glass tables and garden chairs. Hardly decoration. A pity, you could make more out of it.
The only reason to eat here is because you didn’t plan properly. And maybe you want to extend your time in the actual castle. If the view was good here, it would get another star, but the seats are mostly in a small room with some windows that aren’t easy to get a decent view through. Just down the hall is a terrific look out, and if they would put some seats outdoors this would be wonderful. But. The food is nothing special. Pizza, pretzels, cake, beer/wine. All pretty expensive too. Funny side note: it was (almost) worth the trip to see some foreigners attempt to cut a pretzel with a knife and fork.
Modern bistro with great views, prices a bit high. Still rewarding for a break.
It is a cafe that you can stop by after sightseeing in the castle. It is a style that puts what you want to buy on a tray and takes it to the cash register to settle. Please note that it is cash only. It was still 10 o'clock, so I lightly ordered Sachertorte and coffee and had it at the window seat.
The food is disgusting and the price is high, the beer will be out of stock, and the attitude is very bad, it sucks.
Like a bad cafeteria somewhere in an old hospital, the only thing that made up for it was the view
Great lunch. Twice it was. Very tasty goulash. And as always excellent beer. The only omission ... have to wait. Since there are always many tourists who want to eat in this beautiful, picturesque place
nice place, but nothing vegan
Enjoy a pretzel in this magnificent castle. .. Clean and well maintained establishment. Romantic atmosphere
I'm from Seattle, WA and we have tons of great mountains and view points, but ladies and gentlemen, this place is magical and stunning. Anywhere you look there are great views and the terrain is absolutely unique which makes you feel that you are really in Bavarian Country.
Now why would the cafe not be before the tour? Everyone is waiting for some time before their tour begins...
The waitress is rude, insolent and unfriendly.
